After School
Program

In partnership with the Orange Unified School District, Camp Fire Inland Southern California offers free, state-funded after-school programs in Orange, and Santa Ana. Located at California, Esplanade, Fairhaven, and Handy elementary schools, as well as Portola and Yorba middle schools, the program operates daily from school dismissal until 6:00 pm, five days a week.
While these programs are free to families, they are only partially funded through state resources and rely on additional support from grants, donations, and fundraising efforts to sustain and enhance the services we provide.

Camp Fire’s Thrive{ology} curriculum enhances our academic support with age-specific, growth mindset-based programs. These programs are designed to nurture and stimulate youth through hands-on, project-based learning activities focused on building confidence, leadership, social skills, honesty, responsibility, and respect. Additionally, the curriculum includes a health and fitness component emphasizing cooperative group games, cardiovascular health, nutrition, and healthy lifestyles.
With over a century of experience and partnerships across the country, Camp Fire provides a secure and nurturing environment where staff incorporate students’ feedback into activities to maximize engagement. Enrichment activities include pep squad, ballet folklórico, CHEER, hip hop, Latin dance, Lego robotics, soccer, basketball, drones, STEM projects, culinary arts, arts and crafts, DJ crew, iMovie, accordion, singing, jazz, tap, gardening club, green team recycling, E-Sports, Game Lab, and running club.
